Last week, we held a four-day education led by Katarina Jurilj, covering know hows for work with deaf and hard of hearing people.

The training was intended for all those who work with the deaf and hard of hearing in their workplaces; social workers, counsellors from the Employment Office, educational rehabilitators, translators and educators.

With education, as one of the key tools, we try to get to know the needs and challenges faced by deaf and hard of hearing people and provide guidelines for effective communication with them.

The goal of these sessions is to develop competencies that empower deaf and hard of hearing youngsters in entrepreneurial and employability skills.
